Who is bigfatego.com? Bigfatego is a small web site design company founded and built by Steven Toepfer in 1996. At that time Steve was a Ph.D. student at The Ohio State University and was responsible for constructing various web sites at the university while pursing his studies. He enjoyed graphic design and web page development so much that it soon became a passion filled hobby. The personal hobby fast became a small side business that helped pay the bills. More than a source of income it was a creative outlet that provided another dimension to student life. The business quickly grew and it became necessary to limit the number of web projects. The main reason for restricting the number of projects was focus on quality while managing an academic career. This approach to web site design continues today.

Currently Steve Toepfer is an Assistant Professor of Human Development and Family Studies at Kent State University. He is interested in teaching, the use of technology in education, and is active in researching the effects of family systems on individual development and projective methodologies for the family sciences. Other interests include the benefits of multimedia and computer games on learning, psychopathology, instrumentation, and distance learning. Dr. Toepfer continues to develop web sites through bigfatego.com and is always looking for new projects.

Steve lives with his wife and cat (FattyLumpkin) in North-East Ohio. He spends his spare time running, building the ultimate custom computer, working on the house, playing with FattyLumpkin, and of course designing top notch web sites.
